Opened in March 2017, Mivadu specializes in various Vietnamese noodle dishes, prepared quickly and fresh. Located centrally on the corner of Rosenthaler Straße and Linienstraße, it is a new addition to an area that is generally blooming with new shops and restaurants.

The interior of Mivadu is furnished with modern lights, hanging terrariums and beautiful flowers on every table set. Guests here consist of occasional tourists, business people dropping in for lunch as well as typical Mitte freelancers and students in the area.

Appetizers - vegan fried avocados and vegetarian asparagus salad

Vegans will find a number of delicious dishes here. These include fresh summer roles served with a peanut dip, a pho – rice noodle soup with tofu, soy meat, fresh vegetables and herbs, a rice noodle salad with fresh seasonal veggies and Bun Cha Gio – delicious rice noodles with spring rolls filled with soybean and tofu.

Vegetarians and omnivores will also be very happy here as dishes are served with pork, seafood, chicken or beef. Desserts are also offered and include mango pudding, cocolate-banana cake and ice cream – unfortunately not vegan.

The staff mentioned (in June 2017) that the menu may be updated soon to include a couple more vegan-friendly dishes.

The restaurant is great for a quick business lunch or an intimate dinner. Also groups will find space here with more than 50 seats inside and 10-20 outside. The free Wi-Fi also invites you to do a little bit of work while enjoying a homemade drink.

We recommend the Bun Cha Gio (rice noodles with spring rolls filled with soy meat and tofu).

We visited Mi Vadu in June 2017.
