As part of the Jivamukti Yoga studio in Mitte, the Jivamukti Canteen has become not only a place to go for yogis, but also other conscious coffee lovers. Besides yoga practitioners you can find families coming here but also students and freelancers using the Wi-Fi.
They serve two different fresh soups per day – always changing – as well as different salads. There is also the “Buddhi Burger” – a delicious homemade patty with fresh veggies and a special sauce. All ingredients are sourced organic and, if possible, regional.
Cakes and cookies include banana bread, energy balls, croissants and other varying sweets. There are always raw and glutenfree options available.
There is a fridge inside the canteen which is always stacked with freshly made salads and soups to take away. As the Canteen is focused on preserving the environment, only reusable glass jars are used, which can be returned for a small deposit.

As they don’t serve cows milk, you can choose between soy or oat milk for your coffee, or rice-coconut or homemade almond milk for a small extra charge.
Everything here is homemade, prepared in the open kitchen inside the canteen. Most dishes are made using the infamous Thermomix.
Inside the Canteen there is a large wooden table – perfect for doing some work – as well as a number of smaller tables and a sofa. All in all about 25 people find a place to sit here. In summer, there are tables and chairs outside for 15 to 20 people.

We recommend the “Buddhi Burger” (if available – if not, take the soup of the day) and a “Natural High” or “Blueberry Ginger Kick” smoothie.
We visited The Jivamukti Canteen in June 2018.
