Avocai is a Paleo-style restaurant, coffee place and pilates studio in Berlin Mitte.
Centrally located on in Brunnenstraße, Avocai took over the restaurant space from previous operator, vegan café ‘Süßer Wolz’.
The menu of Avocai is focused on homemade, Paleo-style creations, inspired by Russian and Asian cuisine. Everything is prepared gluten-free and free from refined sugars. There are lots of raw options and part of the food is prepared with organic ingredients.
Before and after the opening hours of the restaurant, Avocai turns into a Pilates studio.
Plant-based breakfast options include a gluten-free coconut berry bowl, warm power oats with banana, berries and coconut, and an avocado acai healthy bowl with granola, banana, spinach, berries and almonds. Additionally, there are buckwheat coconut banana pancakes topped with acai-coconut-yoghurt, mixed berries and fruit.
The breakfast sandwiches can also be prepared vegan.
All lunch bowls can be prepared entirely from plant-based ingredients as well (substitute feta cheese etc. with scrambled tofu or similar…). There is a variety of bowls – with quinoa, edamame, lentils, soba noodles, wild rice and more.
At Avocai, they also serve some vegan and gluten-free cake and energy balls, coffee, tea, and smoothies.
The restaurant itself is decorated with numerous plants and flowers (also painted on the walls), modern lighting, design chairs and tables. This creates a very modern, yet comfortable atmosphere.
There is enough space inside for about 25 people. If the weather allows it, you can also sit down outside.
We recommend the ‘Green Protein Power Bowl’ or pretty much any of the bowls 🙂
We visited “Avocai” in March 2018.
