Please note: Locations are not listed in a specific order. We do not exclusively mention entirely plant-based locations, but also a couple of vegetarian and a few omnivorous restaurants & cafés. : )

1 | Veg Room

Veg Room is a relatively new vegan café next to U Amrumer Straße in Wedding, serving pancakes with banana & chocolate every day.
As a sister café of Geh Veg, they serve a similar menu. Besides pancakes, you can find a variety of breakfast dishes, lunch snacks (burgers, wraps, bagels, salad), as well as cake and other sweet options here.

The interior is very modern with lots of dark colours and furniture. On warmer days, you can sit outside.

2 | Tungo’s

Savoury vegan pancakes t Tungos in Berlin

Tungo’s is a café/restaurant in Mitte, serving dishes inspired by Lebanese and modern cuisine. They focus on healthy dishes e.g. by replacing sugar with Xylit. Their menu includes vegan mungbean protein pancakes, that are served with hummus and lots of veggies. They are probably more of a lunch dish, but a great option for everyone who’s into savoury breakfast.

Other vegan dishes include porridge with a variety of toppings and an Arabian breakfast made from fava beans and chickpeas. You can also get a vegan sharing plate with a number of Middle Eastern dishes to share.
They usually also have one or two plant-based daily specials.

3 | YogaCafé – Mindful Life

As of recently, you can also find vegan pancakes in Prenzlauer Berg. Every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am until 3 pm you can get pancakes with fresh fruit, cashew yogurt, homemade granola and maple syrup at ‘YogaCafé’.
The menu also covers lots of savoury dishes including lunch options like soup or curry and a variety of bowls. Additionally, you can find great sandwiches, muesli and breakfast bowls here – plus lots of fantastic yoga classes! ; )

Hom is a cozy café in Neukölln serving homemade vegetarian and vegan breakfast and lunch dishes as well as cake.
Pancakes are served with maple syrup and fresh fruit every day and available until 2 pm. Other vegan dishes include sandwiches, salad, soup, hummus & grilled veggies, a bagel, cake, and cookies.

5 | AVOCAI

Avocai is a restaurant on Brunnenstraße focused on healthy food, particularly Paleo-style dishes. Here you can find a variety of pancake dishes – from sweet potato pancakes with banana chocolate and walnuts or avocado cream, tomato salsa and tofu to coconut-banana-oat-pancakes and Paleo buckwheat-almond-banana-pancakes with berry compote, acai-coconut-yogurt and chocolate sauce topped with berries, fruits & nuts.

Almost all dishes at Avocai are glutenfree (and sugarfree), and besides pancakes you can find a variety of breakfast and lunch bowls here, as well as oats, salads, cake, and daily specials.

Every weekend, you find a huge brunch buffet at vegan restaurant ‘Kopps’ in Mitte. Besides various warm and cold dishes, muesli, spreads, and cakes, you can also find pancakes here, which you can top with a number of toppings (such as a berry sauce, homemade peanut butter, or chocolate spread.

As the brunch is super popular, make sure to reserve a table!

7 | Kuddelmuddel

At home in Friedrichshain, vegan café/restaurant “Kuddelmuddel” offers a variety of breakfast and lunch dishes as well as cake and cookies. From 10:30 am until 3:30 pm you can get spelt pancakes with fresh fruit, compote and coconut whipped cream. Make sure to check their opening hours (they are closed on Sunday!).
Besides pancakes, you can get sandwiches, granola, soup and noodle dishes here.

8 | Family Café ***UPDATE: Unfortunately this location closed in October 2019 🙁 ***

A couple of months ago, a new owner took over “Family Café” in Berlin Pankow, turning it into a 100% plant-based café focused on sustainability.
Although it is located a little outside of the Ring, you can find lots of vegan delicacies here. Besides German pancakes (aka Eierkuchen) that you can order with apple sauce, hot cherries, strawberry sauce, and/or whipped cream, the café serves waffles, muffins, cake, and cookies. Savoury dishes include soup, chili, pasta, wraps, and sandwiches.
You can also find up to 16 varieties of ice cream by Berlin-based manufacturer Eiskontor here.
Ingredients are Fairtrade and organic wherever possible.

Kernvoll in Berlin - vegan pancakes

As part of the Kernvoll Sunday brunch, you will get a personal pancake tower with berries, homemade with love. Located in Friedrichshain, ‘Kernvoll’ is a vegan catering provider, that also offers organic clothing and hosts a brunch every second Sunday. The brunch includes numerous homemade spreads, salads and warm and cold dishes.

10 | Viasko

Viasko is an entirely plant-based restaurant in Kreuzberg serving pancakes as part of its brunch on weekends. Every Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm, you can find a large buffet including salads, traditional warm dishes (Gulasch, roast), waffles and cake.

Make sure to reserve a table in advance (reservations are only possible for 11 or 11:30 am).

11 | Lola was here

Although you won’t find your typical American pancakes at ‘Lola was here’, you can get some lovely homemade Hungarian “palacsinta” (aka Palatschinke) here. These are rolled flat pancakes (crêpe-like) filled with homemade jam (apricot, berries of the forest, fig or rose), cinnamon and sugar or vegan Nutella. You can also get 2 palacsinta with salad, vegan spreads, tomatoes, dried tomatoes, rocket, and mushrooms. Besides pancakes, you can find a plant-based breakfast, hummus, and daily specials at ‘Lola’.

12 | Café Dritter Raum

Cafe Dritter Raum - vegan pancakes

‘Dritter Raum’ is a breakfast café in Neukölln. During the week, you can get breakfast until 2 am, while they are hosting a brunch on Saturdays and Sundays (10 am – 4 pm; 12,90€ p.p.) with about 90% vegan dishes. The menu includes a porridge bowl, a French breakfast (vegan croissant & marmalade) and fluffy pancakes with Canadian organic maple syrup, marmalade, chocolate spread & fruit. The vegan pancakes are also part of the brunch. 🙂

Glutenfree options? Not really (at least not vegan)

13 | Benedict

Benedict is a 24-hour-restaurant in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf that specialises in breakfast. Besides numerous egg- and pancake dishes, there are also a few (3!) vegan dishes. Apart from muesli, you can find a plant-based chocolate filled crêpe with blueberry sauce and a savoury vegan chickpea pancake served with three different spreads (eggplant, tahini and beetroot hummus).

14 | Lily “Beef & Vegan Food-Club”

At Lily “Beef & Vegan Food-Club” in Friedrichshain, you can get lots of huge plant-based burgers. The restaurant is quite popular, as you can get super high-stacked burgers with a large variety of toppings and add-ons. Besides burgers, you can also find vegan deep-fried chocolate bars and vegan pancakes in the dessert section of the menu.

Glutenfree options? Not really

Price: not sure anymore (6-8 € we think, haha)
